Salvation is a free gift from God. Because God’s standard is perfection, no one is good enough to get to Him on their own. But Jesus suffered and died and rose again so that you could have eternal life! That’s good news.
Two equations in the message of the gospel:
Jesus’ Death + Jesus’ Resurrection = The Gospel
Belief + Confession = Salvation
